Well Done!

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” (Matthew 25:21 NKJV)

The older I get, the more precious these words are for me to think about. Especially because they will be spoken by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. To hear the Lord Jesus Christ say to me, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” will mean more to me than all of the treasures of the universe. I can only dream about them for now. But I know the day is coming in certainty that I will hear them. Not because of any certainty about myself or anything I have done, but about what the LORD of the universe did for me. He has been my Creator, my Savior, and my LORD. And soon He will be my Judge. I have placed all things into His hands. He holds my very next breathe in His hands. He will not drop the ball nor make any mistakes. Nothing can be taken or stolen from Him.

Think about these two facts:
1. Not a flea on a toothpick in the middle of a cyclone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean goes by unnoticed by Him.
2. A black ant moving across a deserted black sand beach on the blackest of nights is seen by Him.

We serve an incredible, awesome and indescribable God that moves and reigns beyond our wildest imagination. His ways are so much higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). That is why if I only had one thing to say to a young Christian as far as advice, I would tell them, “Don’t look at others. Only look to the Lord and do what He has purposed for you to do not matter how difficult or cross-grained it may seem.” I would cite this Scripture:
Peter, seeing him (Apostle John), said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.” (John 21:21, 22 NKJV)

My only question to you is, “Are you living in total certainty that you will spend eternity with Him?” If no, all you have to do is repent and make Him #1. Even if you say you know Him, remember that He will not take 2nd place. He must rule supreme!

I will finish with what the Lord asked Job:
Then the Lord answered Job from the whirlwind: “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone?” (Job 38:1, 4-6 NLT)
