It All Boils Down to the WORD

Compared to only 6 months ago, we are now living in a world of total uncertainty. The only thing we know for certain is that Jesus is coming back very, very soon. We know this simply because He gave us the signs which would be unfolding before our eyes in the season leading up to His return. Those signs, which we see around us, point to the fact that things are now ripe for the Rapture, the Tribulation period, and for His stepping foot back on this earth. We are told the following by Jesus’ very mouth:

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28 NKJV)

So, the question now is, “How should we then live?” The thought that keeps resonating through my spirit is this, “Devour the WORD of God, so that we can live the WORD of God, so that we can preach the WORD of God!”

The last warning in the last chapter of the Bible is this:

“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18‭-‬19 NKJV)

So, do not alter the WORD of God. Do not twist the WORD of God (2 Timothy 4:2-4). Do not deviate from rightly dividing the WORD of God (2 Timothy 2:15b). Instead, study the WORD of God to show yourself approved (2 Timothy 2:15a). Study it and devour it for the spiritually life giving food that it is. If you do, you will not be fearful of the days ahead like those who mock the WORD of God:

“Men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (Luke 21:26 NKJV)

Lets not forget that mocking the WORD of God, the Bible, is the same as mocking Jesus. Jesus is the WORD of God:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1‭, ‬14 NKJV)

Fellow Christians, we have been chosen for such a time as this just like Esther was chosen for her time to be Queen and influence a King and Kingdom. We have been chosen to have life more abundantly and not to live in fear:

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV)

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV)

Now is the time for us to rise up, grab a hold of the WORD, and live it out abundantly, through Holy Spirit power, as never before! For we must never forget that even though we are but transients on this fallen earth, we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our LORD:

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 NKJV)

“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21 NKJV)

Amen. No matter what happens in life it comes down to the word of God. For He has a word for everything that happens. It is up to us to either apply the word or not.
