Right after Jesus gave the dual prophesy in Matthew chapter 24 (fulfilled in 70AD and is getting ready to be fulfilled at any time now) He told us to be ready, not to get ready!
“And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with Him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25:10-13 ESV)
I say this simply because the prophetic signs are unfolding before our eyes. The alignment of nations has solidified and their lusting to plunder Israel is drawing them in like a hook. Control of the masses is set in place. Moral decline has plunged the world down an unstoppable slippery slope. Jesus told us at this point to look up because our redemption draws nigh. The season He told us we would discern is here. The Rapture is only waiting for God’s trumpet to sound. The second to the last verse in the Bible is literally saying that when things are ripe, the events foretold of His Second Coming will unfold very quickly. There will be no time to waste. Please watch the video at the bottom of this article and don’t be left behind like the foolish virgins. I believe it is the greatest sermon ever preached because it is from Jesus’s greatest sermon ever preached.
As you watch the sermon video, I have a few questions to ask. Whatever happened to true repentance where a lost individual weeps in their soul when faced with the horrors of their sins and does a 180 degree turn? Whatever happened to the testimony of saints where they declare they are saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit? Whatever happened to picking up one’s cross daily and following Jesus? Salvation is not a one time event that you write down on a special page in your Bible. It is an ongoing way of living, a repentant and holy life. In short, it is anything but American Christianity.
Even Jesus asked this question about finding persistent faith when He comes back:“When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8 ESV)
I will close by asking, “Since the time is at hand for the Bridegroom’s coming, is your lamp full of oil?”
