Not only people of the world, but many Christians have adopted this attitude:
Knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” (2 Peter 3:3-4 NKJV)
Many People are caught up with living life, without a care for eternity:
But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matthew 24:37-39 NKJV)
God tells us that when we live in the light, we will not be surprised. We see the signs of Jesus’ coming as we see the birth pains of the world progressing and becoming more and more profound and closer and closer together. The stage for the Tribulation to begin is completely in place, with only the final touches being made. We don’t know the exact day or hour of the Rapture, but we do know that everything is ripe where it can take place at any moment:
While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. (1 Thessalonians 5:3-4 ESV)
For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7 ESV)
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28 NKJV)
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53 NKJV)
The Book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that promises the following because it speaks to every generation, but most importantly to the generation that is alive at the Rapture:
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 1:3 KJV)
Think about the fact that there has been disunity among the nations since God ended the building of the Tower of Babel (where Satan deceived the world that they could reach into heaven) and now Satan is deceiving the whole world again to be unified beginning with this false man-made Covid-19 pandemic as the gateway:
And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. (Revelation 12:9 ESV)
And all the world marveled and followed the beast. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:3b,7b,8 NKJV)
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)
Notice that Jesus uses the word quickly in the following 2 portions of Scripture in Revelation, because when we start to see things happening, they will progress very quickly, just like we see things happening:
Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. (Revelation 3:10-11 NKJV)
“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:7, 12, 20 NKJV)
Please note in the above verses, that the Greek word for quickly is tachu (takh-oo) which means quickly, speedily (without delay). This is where the King James Version gets it right and the other translations fall short by translating it ‘soon’.
We learn from Daniel that Persia (present day Iran) is controlled by the most evil entities:
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” (Daniel 10:12-14 NKJV)
The United States is slowly pulling support for Israel and is catering to Iran (Persia) who is within weeks of weapons grade nuclear material. Just look at how quickly America is disintegrating from within:
“I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3 NKJV)
Two of the prominent nations around Israel, Turkey and Iran, at a time not long ago, were some of the closest allies of the West. Now they have aligned themselves with the great country of the North (Russia) that will come against Israel as prophesied by Ezekiel in Chapters 38-39. Many believe that the hook (Ezekiel 38:4) will ultimately be to take the spoils of Israel’s vast resources.
These are just the tip of the iceberg I pointed out by rightly dividing and interpreting the Word of God. Please read the following PDF that gets into further detail:
