In three of the four Gospels (Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7, and Luke 21:9) Jesus warns us that when we see the unmistakable signs of the end of this age, “These things must come to pass.” He says this as He begins to describe the beginning of the End Times that lead up to His Second Coming. He says this to solidify the fact that there will be no reprieve, no turning back, nor will there be another Great Revival before the Rapture and the Tribulation begins. In fact, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 tells us there will be a Great Falling Away:
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away (Greek word apostasia) first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. (2 Thessalonians 2:3 KJV)
I say this simply to advise all those who are daydreaming that somehow this nightmare of the deterioration of America and the world around us will somehow turn around, perhaps with an overwhelming conservative victory in the 2022 midterms or by Trump being re-elected in 2024. A turn around is not going to happen because the course for the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the Second Coming has been set into motion. Instead Jesus tells us to prepare ourselves spiritually:
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:28 KJV)
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. (Matthew 25:1-12 KJV)
My question to everyone is this, “Are you ready and is there oil in your vessel?”
