Pray No More!

Please read the following Scripture, even though it is a little lengthy, and see if it does not fit like a glove to today’s society in America and the World. The only difference is that the god today is pleasure and money, and children are sacrificed by abortion, instead of to Molech:

“Pray no more for these people, Jeremiah. Do not weep or pray for them, and don’t beg me to help them, for I will not listen to you. Don’t you see what they are doing throughout the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? No wonder I am so angry! Watch how the children gather wood and the fathers build sacrificial fires. See how the women knead dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. And they pour out liquid offerings to their other idol gods! Am I the one they are hurting?” asks the Lord. “Most of all, they hurt themselves, to their own shame.” So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “I will pour out my terrible fury on this place. Its people, animals, trees, and crops will be consumed by the unquenchable fire of my anger.” This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Take your burnt offerings and your other sacrifices and eat them yourselves! When I led your ancestors out of Egypt, it was not burnt offerings and sacrifices I wanted from them. This is what I told them: ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do everything as I say, and all will be well!’ “But my people would not listen to me. They kept doing whatever they wanted, following the stubborn desires of their evil hearts. They went backward instead of forward. From the day your ancestors left Egypt until now, I have continued to send my servants, the prophets—day in and day out. But my people have not listened to me or even tried to hear. They have been stubborn and sinful—even worse than their ancestors. “Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond. Say to them, ‘This is the nation whose people will not obey the Lord their God and who refuse to be taught. Truth has vanished from among them; it is no longer heard on their lips. Shave your head in mourning, and weep alone on the mountains. For the Lord has rejected and forsaken this generation that has provoked his fury.’ “The people of Judah have sinned before my very eyes,” says the Lord. “They have set up their abominable idols right in the Temple that bears my name, defiling it. They have built pagan shrines at Topheth, the garbage dump in the valley of Ben-Hinnom, and there they burn their sons and daughters in the fire. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind to command such a thing! So beware, for the time is coming,” says the Lord, “when that garbage dump will no longer be called Topheth or the valley of Ben-Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter. They will bury the bodies in Topheth until there is no more room for them. The bodies of my people will be food for the vultures and wild animals, and no one will be left to scare them away. I will put an end to the happy singing and laughter in the streets of Jerusalem. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will no longer be heard in the towns of Judah. The land will lie in complete desolation. (Jeremiah 7:16‭-‬34 NLT)

The Lord warned the Jews before they ever set foot in the Promised Land:

“See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known. And when the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim and the curse on Mount Ebal.” (Deuteronomy 11:26‭-‬29 ESV)

The Lord continued to warn Judah time after time over the course of hundreds of years, but they did not listen. Instead they killed God’s Prophets:

“Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.” (Matthew 23:31 ESV)

The day of reckoning finally came for Judah where they were taken into captivity for 70 years. A day of reckoning always comes both for people and for nations:

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. (Romans 1:24‭-‬25 ESV)

He makes nations great, and He destroys them; He enlarges nations, and leads them away. He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them wander in a trackless waste. They grope in the dark without light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man. (Job 12:23‭-‬25 ESV)

The Lord goes on to warn us today what it will be like in the End Times we are living in:

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 ESV)

Even though we are living in the most difficult of times, we as Christians are to heed the following:

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8‭-‬9 ESV)

God’s day of reckoning for the whole world is very soon to be upon us:

Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelation 6:15‭-‬17 ESV)

You may ask, “What point am I trying to get across?” It comes down to how I have to live my life even though America and the World is falling apart. I still have to live a pure and honorable life according to Philippians 4:8‭-‬9, even though America is becoming more and more wicked every day. I still have to pray, but with Holy Spirit discernment, like never before. The coming elections that many have put their hope in will not save us. Only Jesus will be able to. No amount of prayer will change the fact that the Tribulation and the time of God‘s wrath is about to begin. As I scan the news everyday, I see almost every decision the White House and Congress, the lower courts and mayors make is bent on evil and is cross grained to not only common sense and morality, but is in direct opposition to righteousness. The decisions being made are being dictated by the World Economic Forum which is none other than a front to usher in the Antichrist. I have to remind myself to not get upset by the ungodly acts and decisions that are reported by the news. They are a part of the ungodly’s plan to stir up strife.

To sum things up, all I can do is look up and live a pure and holy life:

“Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28 ESV)

Only a few hours after I posted this article, I came across this video that coincides with this article. The Holy Spirit always confirms:

Then, the day after, this video:

Here is a final thought. We know that it is futile to pray for Satan and his minions to change their ways. Their fate has already been determined by God. According to Romans 1:24, it is also futile to pray for those whom God gave up to their own sins and lusts. This is totally different from praying for those who are caught up in sins and lusts to be delivered. It is our job to pray with Holy Spirit discernment to know the difference. It is also our job to pray for a hedge of protection around the righteous to keep them from the onslaught of Satan and his minions.
