Read the Book of Ruth. It tells a tremendous true story. It is only 4 chapters, but it is packed with valuable lessons. One of the great lessons is in the following verse where I believe the Holy Spirit put an urgency into Boaz’s heart to take care of the matter laid before him:
Then she (Naomi) said, “Sit still, my daughter (Ruth), until you know how the matter will turn out; for the man (Boaz) will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.” (Ruth 3:18 NKJV)
Just think, because of the matter that was laid before him and that he did not hesitate to seize, Boaz became the Great Grandfather of King David in the lineage of Jesus Christ:
Salmon begot Boaz, and Boaz begot Obed; Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David. (Ruth 4:21-22 NKJV)
Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David the king. (Matthew 1:5-6 NKJV)
The son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon. (Luke 3:31-32 NKJV)
Is the Holy Spirit laying something on your heart today to take care? Be a Boaz and do not hesitate to move forward and operate in the timing of the Holy Spirit. No telling what an impact it may have!
