Time for Repentance

There have been multitudes of so-called ‘prophecies’ that so-called ‘Christian Prophets’ have uttered falsely —– the proof being that there is a new administration in the White House. In reality, the prophecies that were uttered were not true New Testament Holy Spirit prophecies that strengthen. Instead they were lies that were an attempt at fortune telling, which is of the devil.

Don’t confuse the New Testament Gifts of the Holy Spirit with the Old Testament. The New Testament Gift of Prophecy, Gift of Knowledge and Gift of Wisdom are distinct and always come true. An example of the Gift of Knowledge is when it was foretold that Paul would be bound and turned over to the Gentiles in Acts 21:10-12. An example of the Gift of Wisdom is in the next verse when Paul realized it was the Lord’s will. The Gifts of Knowledge and Wisdom are for direction, whereas the New Testament Gift of Prophecy is for strengthening:

But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. (1 Corinthians 14:3 NLT)

Articles have already been written in so-called ‘Christian Circles’ attempting to make excuses for the false predictions (their bread and butter) and condemn what I am writing here. In reality, they have fallen victim to Satan’s lies, which God has allowed. Why has God allowed it? Because God detests the idols many Christians have allowed to be set up in their hearts. They forget about the first two Commandments.

Now turn to the written Word of God and think about the fact that Satan does not want to see repentance. Right now, anyone who uttered a false prediction or anyone who put all their faith into these false predictions should be weeping and on their knees in repentance:

Tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Israel have set up idols in their hearts and fallen into sin, and then they go to a prophet asking for a message. So I, the Lord , will give them the kind of answer their great idolatry deserves. I will do this to capture the minds and hearts of all my people who have turned from me to worship their detestable idols.’ “Therefore, tell the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent and turn away from your idols, and stop all your detestable sins. I, the Lord , will answer all those, both Israelites and foreigners, who reject me and set up idols in their hearts and so fall into sin, and who then come to a prophet asking for my advice. I will turn against such people and make a terrible example of them, eliminating them from among my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord . “‘And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the Lord , have deceived that prophet. I will lift my fist against such prophets and cut them off from the community of Israel. False prophets and those who seek their guidance will all be punished for their sins. In this way, the people of Israel will learn not to stray from me, polluting themselves with sin. They will be my people, and I will be their God. I, the Sovereign Lord , have spoken!’” (Ezekiel 14:4‭-‬11 NLT)

It’s amazing how ‘Christian Circles’ will ignore this portion of Scripture.

Articles have also been written in so-called ‘Christian Circles’ attempting to say what I am writing is evil because it causes disunity. They twist the fact that there cannot be unity without the repentance from the idolatry of false predictions and faith in Trumpism.

The sin of idolatry is ultimately a sin of the heart. An idol is anything we depend upon to meet the deep needs of the heart. When we seek to find identity and security in something besides God, we have made it an idol. John Calvin said, “The human heart is an idol factory.” We often search for peace or identity through relationships, substances, money, entertainment, or even governments. Addictions are forms of idolatry, as are a host of other worldly enticements that cannot ultimately satisfy. When we give ourselves to the pursuit of manmade gods, we are breaking the second commandment.

Even good things can become idols if we are not careful. Ministry, hobbies, charity work, or family can supplant the rightful place only God should hold in our lives. When we emotionally rely on anything other than our relationship with Him to validate us, we are breaking the second commandment. That is why the Lord is shaking everything around us:

You must worship no other gods, for the Lord , whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you. (Exodus 34:14 NLT)

It amazes me how life goes on in Churches across America as if nothing has happened, outside the fact their man is no longer in the White House. There are very few cries for Christian repentance. You only hear cries about their anticipated outcome did not occur.

After the Israelites were stripped of their land for 70 years, both Ezra (Ezra Chapter 9) and Daniel (Daniel Chapter 9), who were both extremely righteous men of God, repented and called the Israelites to repentance. Shouldn’t we learn from them and be doing the same?

There is no doubt we are living in the End Times with an ever increasing evil before us. The time has come for each one of us to examine ourselves, repent and remove even the slightest idols in our lives. Then and only then can we see unity in the Church:

For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News? And also, “If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?” (1 Peter 4:17‭-‬18 NLT)

I know what I have written is very unpopular, but think about what God said through Isaiah:

They tell the seers, “Stop seeing visions!” They tell the prophets, “Don’t tell us what is right. Tell us nice things. Tell us lies. Forget all this gloom. Get off your narrow path.” (Isaiah 30:10‭-‬11 NLT)
