This is a wake up call to Pastor’s, Churches, and fellow Christians. The handwriting is on the wall. The drastic changes in our world since the month of March are mind boggling. Covid-19 is only the smokescreen. What we are facing is CONTROL and we are fast approaching what Nazi Germany faced a little over 80 years ago. Before I go further, I want to introduce Dietrich Bonhoeffer, if you are not already familiar:
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (4 February 1906 – 9 April 1945) was a Lutheran pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident, and key founding member of the Confessing Church. The Confessing Church was a movement within German Protestantism during Nazi Germany that arose in opposition to government sponsored efforts to unify all Protestant churches into a single pro-Nazi Protestant Reich Church. To Bonhoeffer’s dismay, this movement was squashed by the Nazi regime because too many pastors were fearful for their own lives and well-being, rather than taking a stand for righteousness. His writings on Christianity’s role in the secular world have become widely influential, and his book The Cost of Discipleship has been described as a modern classic. Apart from his theological writings, Bonhoeffer was known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship, including vocal opposition to Hitler’s euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of the Jews. He was arrested in April 1943 by the Gestapo and imprisoned at Tegel prison for one and a half years. Later, he was transferred to Flossenbürg concentration camp. He was hanged on 9 April 1945 as the Nazi regime was collapsing, 21 days before Adolf Hitler committed suicide. More than seventy five years after his death, his life and writings serve as a touchstone for all of us who seek to understand a Christian’s responsibility in the face of injustice — and as an encouragement to serve no matter how great the cost.
Now to our present day and situation. As I have watched prophecy being fulfilled before my eyes, I always believed that Jesus was coming back during my generation, but I never thought I would see the world change so quickly for setting the stage for the appearance of the Antichrist as what I do now. The setting up of the CONTROLS and the sudden erosion of our freedoms is on overdrive.

There is a saying, “Follow the money.” The majority of churches across America have bowed down to the money gods and have chosen to disobey God and obey man because they are in fear of losing their 501C3 tax status if they become non-compliant to all the restrictions the governments have imposed to strangulate religious freedoms.
Money will become a major issue in the days ahead. Coins already have disappeared from circulation, which has forced those that pay with cash to resort to cashless methods. This is moving us closer and closer to becoming a cashless society where government can control someone’s ability to buy and sell.
Physical contact is a vital part of Christianity. Hugging, laying on of hands, giving a holy kiss, anointing with oil, breaking of bread, is laced throughout the New Testament. A Zoom session is not a church service. We are commanded (not suggested) to physically gather together:
“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25 NLT)
This leaves us with a choice of who we will obey:
“But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.” (Acts 5:29 NLT)
The restrictions on our religious freedoms will get worse and worse under the false banner of medical precautions and the good of society. The choice is yours, but how are you with your conscience knowing that you have to answer to the God who created you and has so clearly laid out His commands in Scripture?
Way before Dietrich Bonhoeffer was another great German:
“Since then your imperial majesty and your lordships demand a simple answer, I will give you one without teeth and without horns. Unless I am convicted of error by the testimony of Scripture or by manifest evidence…I cannot and will not retract, for we must never act contrary to our conscience….Here I stand. God help me! Amen!” (Martin Luther)
Think of it…..the land that gave us the Protestant Reformation and the first printed Bible also gave us the Nazi Regime. And so it is today…..the land that led the way in the world in giving precious religious freedom is allowing it to be eroded away!

As I have tried to bring out in this article, Dietrich Bonhoffer attempted to rally the pastors and churches during the Nazi Regime. But, the pastors and churches bowed down to fear. John MacArthur is trying to do the same 80 years later. Will the same result occur? Its up to you! You and your local church can make a difference!
